I know that bio Steel armor is based on using a compound similar to that of spider webs and it is being mass produced by causing goats to produce milk containing the same substances. Also, that this advancement is being used currently to coat kevlar making it even stronger and resistant to stab attacks. Many soldiers can tell you that the body armor being used in Iraq is offers inadequate protection and is heavy. Supposedly this Bio Steel Armor is 4 times stronger than kevlar and much lighter. This could save hundreds of lives. When will this be available and how can someone get it?

It may not be affordable to give it to every troop, but do you think that some day our special ops units like the Navy SEALs will get highly advanced body armor? I’m thinking a heavy armor suit with a full helmet to cover the head with an advanced Heads Up Display with battle data?

I think such armor given to an already elite force would make them damn near invincible.

My bullet proof vest is absolutely rubbish. The company that I work for gave me a shitty peace of junk and it weights a tone without any gear. It should be heavy duty, but it only stopped two 9mm bullets and the third one stopped in my rib.
I’m looking for a body armor, that could stop an ak-47 round before it tears my guts. Any suggestions?

Wouldn’t this armor be way to heavy to hump around up and down hills in the heat and humidity.?
