Jason B asked:

I recently found out about the incredible Dragon Skin body armor and the whole argument over why US troops don’t use it as it is far superior to what they are currently wearing, which is called Interceptor.

I am British and was wondering what British troops wear and how it holds up against these other kinds. I’d like to find out what it’s called and how good it is.

Thanks!

Like during WWI, and WWII, and Vietnam, etc. What if during those times we had body armor/ bullet proof vests/bullet resistant vests.

would we have faired better in battle against the enemy? do you think it would make a major difference in the outcome of the wars?

If not why doesnt the military develop a kilt like skirt of body armor that can be easily shed for troops on foot patrol. I bring this up after watching the Juba 15 minute video, seems as though they know they have a low chance for a kill in the chest (body armor and gear), so they go for the thigh where they have a chance of bleeding the enemy to death.

Maybe a bell like skirt held on with suspendors so that it can be dropped quickly by pushing it over the shoulders.

I dont know all that much about body armor, see if you cant come up with a working version that is light weight enough to provide protection for the artery.

Does anyone know the most powerful round that can be stopped by the most advanced body armor currently available?
What’s the world coming to when users on yahoo answers think terrorists are asking what kind of rounds top of the line body armor can stop. Paranoid much? I can make you a tinfoil hat for only $9.99, but you have to pay for the shipping. Do we have a deal?

Does the USMC allow their men to wear DragonSkin body armor? or did they ban it like the Army did?
In my opinion, DragonSkin is the best piece of body armor out there, but why do they not allow Marines, not Army (I’m not talking about the Army so don’t mention it) to wear it even if they bought it themselves?

What if the samurai slashed at it? Or what if the samurai tried to stab and pierce the armor?
