BH asked:

Simple as could be, those long roll, unflavored and unbasted rawhide chews for dogs. Do you think it would make a suitable material as under-shirt body armor?

The only thing I would foresee trouble with is the stitching the rawhides together while they are still soft, and the rough texture they will have when dried.

But still, would it be useful as a light body armor?

I’m just asking out of curiousity by the way, I’m way too lazy to actually take the work to make it.
I’m not looking to make a bulletproof vest, I’m just amusing myself this late at night with just being curious. if ever I use it I know the most I would take it to would be a small folder knife.

Still, an interesting idea but sort of weird too, right? I’m just wanting to know if other people will think it will work also. I can see it working against small folding knives, like I said, but this is just a brain scratcher kind of question.

What is the average price for this type of body armor? Are there any special taxes that have to be paid?
I didn’t say I needed it. I was just curious because some of my friends were talking about it.
$63.47? That seems awfully cheap for a bulletproof vest. What website is selling it for that price?
Ok, but how much would a new one cost?
