I have seen this in the news twice now, in just the last week. Two separate incidences where somene was arrested because of wearing body armor. I can understand weapons, but I can’t comprehend why it is illegal for a felon to posess or wear body armor. Can someone explain the origin of this federal law? Why it exists? It seems like, once a convicted felon, mended ways or not, they are no longer allowed to protect themselves. I just want to know.
